Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization Chairman Election: Vote Counting Begins
Vote counting for the Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization chairman has commenced, with Big Jad taking the lead in most districts, while Chan Puangphet maintains his score in two districts.
On September 22, 2024, in Pathum Thani Province, the Election Commission (EC) ordered a re-election for the Chairman of the Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO Chairman) after Mr. Chan Puangphet, who received the most votes in the previous election on June 30, was given a yellow card.
The same four candidates are participating in the re-election: Mr. Chan Puangpetch (Applicant No. 1), Mr. Athiwat Sonnoey (Applicant No. 2), Lt. Gen. Kamronwit Thupkrajang (Applicant No. 3), and Mr. Noppadol Laddayam (Applicant No. 4). The original list of candidates remains unchanged, as the Election Commission has not yet officially announced the certification of the election results.
Following the closure of polls, vote counting has begun at every polling station across the seven districts of Pathum Thani province. While Lt. Gen. Kamronwit’s overall score is higher than Mr. Chan’s, Big Jad is leading in almost all districts, except for Lat Lum Kaeo and Sam Khok districts (as of 5:45 p.m.). Vote counting is ongoing, with some units having already completed the process.
