Bangalore is stronger on paper than Lucknow. Punjab will be well aware that their batsmen need to think about beating Faf du Plessis-led Bangalore.

Bangalore is currently fifth in the points table with six points from five matches. Punjab is trying not to repeat the poor performance of this season at least. Meanwhile, captain Shikhar Dhawan’s injury is a big loss for the team.

RCB is currently in the eighth position with 4 points from two wins from five matches. In the last match, Royal Challengers Bangalore lost against Chennai Super Kings by 8 runs. Chasing a huge target of 226 runs, Faf du Plessis and his team struggled but could not succeed. Du Plessis and Maxwell put on a 126-run partnership but it didn’t matter. Bangalore fell short of the target by a long way. Moreover, a win is essential for RCB to keep their chances of playing games alive.
