PDI investigates discovery of body in Valparaíso landfill

The Homicide Brigade of the Investigative Police (PDI) investigates the discovery of a body in the Los Molles landfill in Valparaísothe one that appeared after unloading a garbage truck.

The corpse was detected when its extremities were exposedafter the vehicle dumped its load of waste.

Although the cause of death of the victim is still unknown, the civil police indicated that it would be an individual of foreign nationality, between 25 and 30 years of age.

The local Prosecutor’s Office determined that the case be investigated by the PDI Homicide Brigade.

For his part, the sub-prefect Víctor Salazar declared to Radio Cooperativa that “no external injuries attributable to third parties were observed” upon initial examination of the body, for which reason the BH awaited the autopsy by the Legal Medical Service.
