Phasmophobia Console Release: Technical Details Revealed
Phasmophobia, the popular co-op horror title, has finally arrived on consoles after several delays. Developer Kinetic Games has shared the game’s technical goals across all consoles, providing insight into the gaming experience players can expect.
Ahead of its launch on new platforms, Kinetic Games has revealed that Phasmophobia will run at different resolutions and frame rates on various consoles. On Xbox Series S, the game will run at 1080p and 60 FPS, while on PlayStation VR2, it targets a native resolution of 2000×2400 per eye and a 60Hz refresh rate.
For both PS5 and Xbox Series X, there are two graphics modes available. Xbox Series X also offers a 120 FPS option, which is not available on PS5. Meanwhile, Xbox Series S has only one graphics mode, running at 1080p and 60 FPS.
PlayStation VR2 players can expect a native resolution of 2000×2400 per eye, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a 120Hz reprojection rate. These technical details provide a glimpse into the immersive gaming experience Phasmophobia offers on consoles.
Phasmophobia is available now on PC, with a console release on October 29th. The game has already achieved significant success, with over 20 million copies sold since its early access launch in 2020.
