To celebrate the Lunar New Year, the nation’s biggest holiday, President Yoon Seok-yeol delivered a Lunar New Year message to the nation through a song with the Presidential Office Choir ‘Warm Hands’. This video was prepared to convey the warmth of love to the people through cultural energy through song, and not only the President and choir, but also the children and staff of the President’s Office staff participated.

In the video, the President sang the song ‘You Need Our Love’ with the choir and directly conveyed the vision of ‘compassionate government’, which is the vision for running the government, to the people.

‘You Need Our Love’ is a song by singer Byun Jin-seop that was sung by police and a children’s choir at the 78th Police Day ceremony (October 18) last year, and the President said, “Just like the lyrics of the song, extending a warm hand is the essential role of the nation.” He also mentioned this directly.

In this chorus, the President personally sang the part ‘Those who are ahead and those who are coming behind both need our love’ as a solo. The President continued, “This is the Lunar New Year holiday that requires love. In the new year, I and all of our staff at the President’s Office will warmly examine the lives of each and every person with love for the people. “I hope you always stay healthy and have a happy new year,” he said, sending New Year’s greetings to the people.

This Lunar New Year video was filmed over two hours on February 4th at the main entrance on the first floor of the President’s Office. The President joked to the choir members, “It’s fun, right?” and took pictures in a lively and happy atmosphere. In particular, the President encouraged his chief of staff, policy chiefs, and chiefs to participate in the video on the spot at the recording site, resulting in the creation of a heart-warming video that went beyond the initial plan and even included his staff.

‘Warm Hands’, headed by Chief of Staff Lee Kwan-seop, was formed in November last year and consisted of employees from the Presidential Office’s Secretariat, National Security Office, and Secret Service. ‘Warm Hands’ performed for the first time at the Presidential Office Closing Ceremony in 2023 with songs such as ‘You Need Our Love’, and in the future, they plan to begin external activities by searching for places in need of warm hands.

Meanwhile, the name of the choir, ‘Warm Hands’, was given by the President himself with the intention of extending a warm hand to people who need the country’s help.
