PowerToys 0.97 is the first release of 2026.It doesn’t yet include screen brightness and other display parameter controls, but it does introduce several notable updates.The newest tool,CursorWrap,will appeal to anyone who dislikes hitting the edges of their screen with the mouse cursor.
Normally,when you move the mouse all the way to the left,you can onyl move it up and down along that edge. Getting to the right side of the screen requires dragging the mouse across the entire width.
CursorWrap eliminates that boundary. When you move the cursor past the edge of the screen, it reappears on the opposite side. If it’s on the left, it pops up on the right. The tool shoudl work with multi-monitor setups,where this feature will be even more useful. I currently can’t test that configuration, but you can toggle the seamless “cross-screen” movement on and off with a keyboard shortcut.
