The 57-year-old golfer, Prayad Maksaeng, concluded the final round with an impressive 6-under-par 66 to secure victory at the 2023 Rueangkit Singha Boonchu Invitational. His three-day total score of 15-under-par 201 earned him a cash prize of 240,000 baht and the championship trophy. The competition on the Rancho Charnvee Resort and Country Club saw Thammanoon Sriroj come in second with a total score of 12 under par 204, while Udon Duangdecha took third place with a total score of 10 under par 206.

The Professional Golf Association of Thailand, with support from the Sports Authority of Thailand Professional Sports Development Fund, Singha Corporation, Infinite About Grass, EGA, and Udomphanich, organized the event. The competition marked the final match of the 7-event Thailand Golf Champions Tour 2023, providing senior professional golfers aged 50 and over with the opportunity to compete in stroke play over 3 days and 54 holes, vying for a total prize money of 2 million baht between November 8 and 10. During the award ceremony, Pro Boonchu Ruangkit, the Thai swing legend, was honored as the host of the event, while Mr. Methee Suthat Na Ayutthaya, President of the Professional Golf Association of Thailand, graced the occasion with his presence.

Expressing his joy after winning the championship, Prayad Maksaeng said, “I’m glad to be able to do it again. This is the third consecutive championship before the season ends this year. I played carefully, and the final round was another impressive one. Congratulations to Pro Bunchu for organizing a great tournament for everyone to take part in the competition. Thammanoon Sriroj, a golfer from Chonburi, finished in second place with a total score of 12 under par 204, earning a prize of 132,000 baht. Udon Duangdecha, the first 3-event champion of the year from Chiang Mai, claimed the third spot with a total score of 10 under par 206, winning a cash prize of 85,200 baht.

Lert Phakdeepoom secured 4th place with a total score of 5 under par 211, while Myanmar’s Somboon Leelathitikul and Saw Mo tied for 5th with a total score of 4 under par 212. Matthew Richa Cardson and Thanet Saengsui rounded up the top 7 with a combined score of 3 under par 213.
