President Sisi receives the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Ittihadiya Palace – the State Information Service

In his speech during the press conference, President Abdel Fattah El-Sis stressed the importance of achieving stability in the Middle East region, calming regional tension, and taking action to reach an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and provide relief aid to the Palestinians in the Strip.

President Sisi said: “I agreed with the President of Bosnia on the necessity of making every effort to achieve stability in the Middle East and calm regional tension, and the importance of uniting international efforts in order to achieve an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and implement relief aid to all areas of the Strip.”

The President stressed the need for serious and immediate engagement in the process of reaching a just and sustainable political solution to the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution and the implementation of a Palestinian state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

President Sisi said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Your Excellency and the delegation accompanying you, on the first visit to Egypt at such a high level from the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina in more than 14 years, and I affirm my confidence that this visit will contribute to enriching our bilateral relations… and will advance “With it towards new horizons… to achieve what the people of our two friendly countries aspire to.”

He added: “Egypt was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, as it assumed its responsibility as a state sponsor of peace in the world through its participation in the process of preserving and building peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.” He stressed Egypt’s firm position in respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, And readiness to cooperate with various components of Bosnia and Herzegovina society in a way that achieves stability and development there.

President Sisi congratulated Bosnia and Herzegovina; On the occasion of the European Council’s recent approval to open the door to negotiations on its accession to the European Union… wishing success and progress on this important path for the future of the country… explaining that he held important discussions with the President of Bosnia today, which reflected a common desire to strengthen bilateral relations… stressing in this regard Ensure to deepen and develop all forms of cooperation existing between the two countries.

He said: The discussions witnessed a review of efforts to enhance economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, and the common interest in the necessity of using and developing existing cooperation mechanisms, including activating the Joint Committee for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, was stressed to advance efforts to enhance trade exchange between the two countries, in addition to welcoming work to enhance exchange. Tourism by launching a direct flight line from some Bosnian cities to the city of Hurghada, which contributes to stimulating tourism movement between the two countries.

The President renewed his welcome to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Egypt, hoping that this visit would be a major step toward strengthening and developing joint cooperation “between our two friendly countries,” thus enriching the historical relations and ties that bring together the peoples of the two countries.

At the end of his speech, President Sisi expressed his sincere thanks to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina for extending the invitation to visit his friendly country… expressing his aspiration to respond to it as soon as possible. To continue working to improve relations between the two countries.


President of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Egypt is the leader of the Arab and African world, and we have all our appreciation for it

The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bešerović, affirmed that his country has the utmost respect and appreciation for Egypt as the leader of the Arab and African world, and an important country in the Middle East and the Mediterranean basin.

In his speech during the press conference, Jenis Bešerović expressed his deep and sincere thanks and appreciation to President Sisi personally, and to the friendly Egyptian people for all the assistance they have provided so far to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He pointed out that last year, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of full diplomatic relations between Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina was celebrated, noting that the relations between the two countries and peoples extend back a long history.

Becirovic said, “Egypt’s support for Bosnia and Herzegovina continued even after the war, and after the Dayton Peace Agreement,” noting his country’s full support for the territorial integrity, sovereignty, stability and independence of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

He pointed out that he invited President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to visit the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo), saying: “We look forward to you being the first Egyptian president to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 21st century.”
Denis Bešerović expressed the desire to strengthen cooperation in many fields with Egypt, especially in the economic and trade fields, as well as the field of defense, given the great development enjoyed by the military production industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He added: “If economic cooperation is achieved between the two countries, this will provide a great opportunity for our businessmen in the Egyptian market,” explaining that there are many positive steps between the two countries, including the establishment of direct airlines.

Denis Becirovic stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly desires to bring peace as soon as possible to Gaza, stop the war and protect civilians, stressing that Bosnia and Herzegovina supports the two-state solution and the establishment of a Palestinian state, with full sovereignty, side by side with the State of Israel.
