President Yoon Seok-yeol will deliver his first speech on corrections after taking office at the National Assembly plenary session tomorrow.

It seems to be asking for the expeditious handling of the supplementary budget bill decided at the cabinet meeting last Thursday.

Let’s take a closer look with a reporter who is out of the presidential office.

Reporter Lee Jeong-eun, President Yoon has not yet filled out his cabinet, so you decided to give your first municipal government speech in this state?

Yes, the ruling and opposition parties are in a confrontation over the approval of the prime minister, but the purpose is to expedite the handling of the supplementary budget.

At the State Council meeting last week, an additional supplementary budget of 59.4 trillion won was approved, of which 26 trillion won is for supporting small businesses affected by COVID-19.

When you were a candidate, you emphasized support for small businesses as a promise.

It is expected to emphasize that bipartisan cooperation is necessary as the cooperation of the opposition is essential in order to handle the budget bill in the situation of small opposition parties, and we will overcome the economic crisis through cooperation.

After President Yoon delivered his municipal administration speech tomorrow, he was originally going to have dinner with the ruling and opposition leaders, but this failed.

I was trying to ask for cooperation, but it seems that the nerve war on the opposition side continues?

Yes, the Justice Party responded to the proposal for the presidential office, but the Democrats were reluctant to do so.

It seems that there was a judgment about whether it was appropriate to meet the president during a sharp confrontation over personnel matters.

The presidential office also showed a sensitive reaction to the opposition that pointed out the problem of commuting to and from work. Let’s hear it.

“It makes me wonder if the president is intentionally late every day. He doesn’t even go to work before 9 o’clock.”

[강인선/ 대통령실 대변인]

“It is absurd to claim that the president is late, who receives questions from reporters every time he goes to work.”

The president and ruling and opposition leaders will meet at the National Assembly tomorrow, but it looks like they are setting the day until the day before.

Right now, the opposition and opposition parties cannot even set a date for the confirmation vote for Prime Minister Han Deok-soo’s candidate.

The presidential office has requested again to send a hearing report to the National Assembly by tomorrow regarding the candidate for Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon.

It seems that the deadline for sending is fulfilled and the appointment will be enforced after tomorrow.

Ahead of the appointment, a candidate, the vice president of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, announced to the prosecution’s internal network today that he had “signed a resignation letter” and also revealed his feelings that “I was lynched close to madness, but I fought with common sense.”

There is a cautious atmosphere regarding the candidate for Minister of Health and Welfare Jeong Ho-young, but an official from the presidential office said, “It is a problem that is intertwined with the election of Prime Minister Han Deok-soo.”

It seems that he intends to keep it until the end as a negotiating card for the appointment of the prime minister.

On the other hand, regarding Secretary Yoon Jae-soon, who has been accused of sexual violence, an official from the presidential office drew a line on the possibility of resignation or fire, saying, ‘It is different from Secretary Kim Seong-hoe, who voluntarily resigned last week.’
