Prime Minister Kim “Announced the final draft of the implementation plan for the recovery of daily life on the 29th… Without implementation, it is an illusion”

Prime Minister Kim Bu-gyeom said on the 27th that “a plan that cannot be supported by practice is just an illusion.”

Prime Minister Kim said at a meeting of the Daily Restoration Support Committee presided over at the annex of the government complex in Seoul on the same day, saying, “From now on, quarantine will be focused on ‘implementation and practice’ under the principle of ‘autonomy and responsibility’.”

Prime Minister Kim emphasized, “Even though the expectation of recovery to daily life is greater than ever, there are many voices who are worried about the relaxation of the quarantine system.”

Ahead of the gradual recovery of daily life on the 1st of next month, the number of new confirmed cases on that day again approached 2,000.

Regarding the so-called ‘vaccine pass’, Prime Minister Kim said, “As it is an inevitable choice, we ask for your understanding and cooperation even if there are some inconveniences.” Vaccine pass refers to the ‘inoculation certificate/negative confirmation system’ introduced mainly in facilities with a high risk of infection.

He also explained that the principle of home treatment would be to prepare hospital beds and medical personnel, assuming the worst-case scenario, such as a surge in the number of seriously ill patients and deaths.

Prime Minister Kim said, “Under any circumstances, we will prepare thoroughly for emergency situations with the determination not to return to the way we were before the restoration of our daily lives.

The Daily Restoration Committee discussed a detailed step-by-step implementation plan for daily restoration based on the results of discussions in the four subcommittees. The final draft of the implementation plan will be announced at the meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on the 29th.
