Prof. reveals that 54 people traveling from Sweden have tested positive for the virus in the four southern border provinces, still heavy

Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health reveals 10,817 cases of coronavirus today, 84 deaths, reports of travelers from Sweden Up to 54 cases have been detected, while the four southern border provinces are still heavy.

On October 10, reporters reported that The Center for the Epidemic of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Situation Administration (CDC) reported on the situation of the COVID-19 epidemic in Thailand today that there were 10,817 new cases, classified as: 10,704 common cases in the country, 63 from foreign travelers, and 50 more in prisons/incarceration cases, 1,682,021 cumulative confirmed cases, 1,710,884 cumulative confirmed cases since 63. 9,981 cases, 1,554,887 cumulative recoveries, 1,582,313 total recoveries since 63, 84 deaths today, 17,597 cumulative deaths, 17,691 cumulative deaths since 63

Of the 110,880 patients, 43,299 were hospitalized, 67,581 were in field hospitals and others, 2,985 were severely ill, 689 were on ventilators, and 10,817 were newly infected, divided into those in Bangkok and its vicinity. Excluding prisons: 2,061 cases, 4 southern provinces 2,332 cases, other provinces (67 provinces), 6,311 cases, and 50 prisons/inmates.

The report said the 84 deaths were divided into 43 males, 41 females, 79 Thais, 4 Burmese and one Cambodian, the youngest being 5 years old, the highest being 92 years old. 60 cases, less than 60 years old, with chronic disease, 21 cases, no history of chronic disease, 2 cases, 1 child aged 5 years.

Most of the deceased had underlying diseases or risk factors for violence. Especially high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease, obesity, while the risk factors for COVID-19 infection are still infected from the area, family members, acquaintances, etc. Bangkok still has the highest number of deaths, which is 11 people. Of the 63 imported cases, 54 came from Sweden, six from Cambodia, two from the United States and one from South Korea.

The report further stated that for the top 10 provinces with the highest number of COVID-19 cases, The highest new cases in the country are Bangkok 1,185 cases 2. Yala 776 cases 3. Songkhla 536 cases 4. Pattani 514 cases 5. Narathiwat 479 cases 6. Samut Prakan 462 cases 7. Chonburi 457 cases 8. Rayong 364 cases 9. Nakhon Si Thammarat 345 cases and 10. Khon Kaen, 305 cases, while in Yasothon, Nakhon Phanom, Nan, Lampang, there were no reported cases of infection today.

While reporting the cumulative number of vaccinated recipients from February 28 to October 10, a total of 59,539,624 doses, the number of people who received the first dose of vaccine 34,782,627 and the second dose, 23,055,555 cumulatively, the cumulative 3 dose of 1,701,442.
