Thiruvananthapuram – A shocking case of robbery has rocked the capital city as an employee of a well-known jeweler fell victim to a cunning thief. The incident occurred at a prominent hotel in the heart of the city, where the employee was deceived and robbed of valuable gold biscuits.

The daring thief, posing as a customer, contacted the jeweler on a Tuesday evening, urgently requesting three gold biscuits for his boss. Claiming inconvenience in reaching the jewelry store, the caller arranged for the delivery to take place at the hotel the following morning.

Upon arrival at the hotel, the employee was met by the caller in the reception area, who then led them to the hotel’s restaurant. As the employee waited, the thief disappeared with the gold biscuits, leaving the employee bewildered and the hotel staff perplexed. It was later discovered that the fraudster had left through another exit, leaving the employee in shock and the hotel staff in dismay.

The local police have registered a case and launched an investigation, with a focus on tracking the telephone number used by the fraudster and reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel. The hunt is on to apprehend the perpetrator and bring them to justice.

A person called the jeweler on Tuesday evening and informed that he needed three gold biscuits. The caller said he was calling for his boss and wanted to deliver biscuits urgently. Inconvenience to get to the jewelery was also reported. The staff said the gold would be delivered to the hotel in the morning.

When the jewelery worker arrived at the hotel, the caller was standing in reception. He took the worker to the side of the restaurant. He went inside the hotel with the biscuits saying that the boss was in the room and he would show them the biscuits. Juice was also ordered from the restaurant for the jewelery worker. Half an hour later, when the man was missing, the jeweler’s employee contacted him on the phone. The phone was switched off. It is gathered that the fraudster went out through another door to the hotel. The museum police registered a case. The investigation is focusing on the telephone number and CCTV.
