The promotion of the monograph “Winners of the highest war awards and decorations of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo”, by Velid Bajramović, was held in the Memorial Center “Heroes Square” Novo Sarajevo, organized by the Association of Winners of the Highest War Awards “Golden Lily” and “Golden Police Badge” Novo Sarajevo.
The monograph includes all the winners of the highest war honors from the territory of the municipality of Novo Sarajevo, and for the first time, members of both the Army of the RBiH and the MUP of the RBiH are included in one place.
In the monograph, in addition to the members of the Association of winners of the highest war awards “Golden Lily” and “Golden Police Badge” Novo Sarajevo, there are also other winners of the highest war awards who were born and lived in the territory of the municipality of Novo Sarajevo, but who during the aggression were assigned to other units on the territory of the city and the country. Our goal was to find all the names in one place in order to continue cultivating the culture of memory of the period of aggression against our municipality and our city – emphasized the President of the Association, Ramo Kajmović.
In addition to a large number of members of veterans’ organizations, the promotion was attended by principals of elementary schools in Novo Sarajevo, to whom the Mayor of Novo Sarajevo Municipality, Hasan Tanović, handed over a special monograph set, consisting of five parts, for the needs of school libraries and history classes.
The promoters of the monograph were Velid Bajramović and Hasib Mušinbegović, who is also a reviewer.
