It is noteworthy that the separate disc player was released for the first time in 2023, when the new version of the slim PlayStation 5 device or PS5 Slim, as it is known among gamers, was released. Sony devices are now sold digitally and you can convert them to physical copies by integrating a separate disc player with them, and this applies to the new Pro devices.

CD player sales could be a clear indication that many are ready for the PS5 Pro despite criticism of the high price. This was stated by an analyst who expected the new device to achieve the same success as the PS4 Pro, estimating that its sales would reach 13 million units by the end of this generation’s life.
