PSG on the Verge of Third Consecutive French League Title

Paris: PSG are close to a third consecutive title in the French league. In the home game, PSG defeated Lyon by four goals to one. The club from Paris, who are at the top of the points table, have an 11-point lead over second-placed Monaco with five games remaining in the league.

Portuguese striker Gonzalo Ramos scored a double as PSG beat Lyon. Lucas Beraldo also netted. One goal belonged to Lyon star Nemanja Matic. Ernest Nuwama scored Lyon’s consolation goal. The league’s top scorer, Kylian Mbappe, was benched by coach Louis Entikwe.

After defeating Barça in the Champions League and reaching the semi-finals, PSG are close to securing the League One title. In the semi-final, the opponents are the German club Borussia Dortmund. A win against Lorient on Wednesday and Monaco’s defeat against fourth-placed Lille would see PSG reach their 12th title. The team is aiming for a 10th title in the last 12 seasons.
