Puneeth Rajkumar Death | The actor who set aside a certain portion of his income for charitable activities

Puneeth Rajkumar is below the list of many Kannada actors in terms of number of films he has acted in. Even though he has acted as a child actor, he has acted in less than 50 films. Yet this generation of Sandalwood stars has won over the audience more than anyone else. He was the son of the greatest Kannada superstar of all time Rajkumar and was the best actor for two reasons. But there was a third reason behind the audience’s love. He was a man who lived so closely to the community that he did not hesitate to set aside a portion of his income for charitable causes.

During the first wave of Kovid, he donated Rs 50 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in Karnataka. During the floods in North Karnataka, Rs 5 lakh was given to the same fund. Along with being an actor, he was also a blessed singer. Years ago, he decided that his salary as a singer would be set aside for charity. With this reward he had several Kannada medium schools which he regularly financed. He was active with his mother in the activities of the Women’s Rehabilitation Center affiliated to the Shakti Dhana Ashram in Mysore.

He had also given a lot of help through a trust named after his father Dr. Rajkumar. In addition to schools, he has helped with orphanages and nursing homes. Puneet has often been part of campaigns to ensure community participation in charitable activities. He was the ambassador of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in 2013 to raise awareness about the right of children to compulsory education. When he dies, Puneet Rajkumar returns with another wish fulfilled. Like his father, he wanted to donate an eye after death. The eye donation will be done through Narayana Eye Hospital in Bangalore. The return of the audience’s favorite is a sight to behold for two.

Puneet, 46, died of a heart attack. He was admitted to a nearby hospital and later to Vikram Hospital after feeling unwell while exercising in the gym in the morning. Thousands of fans gathered outside the hospital after receiving the information. News of his death soon followed. Thousands flocked during the mourning procession and later when the body was laid to rest at the Sreekanthirava Stadium.

Puneeth made his film debut as a child actor in some films starring Rajkumar. Puneet won the National Award for Best Child Actor for his role as Appu in ‘Bettada Hoo’. Puneet Rajkumar, who later acted in another film ‘Appu’ as an adult, was known by the same nickname among the fans. Appu (2002), Abhi (2003), Veera Kannadiga (2004), Akash (2005), Arasu (2007), Milana (2007), Vamsi (2008), Ram (2009), Jackie (2010), Hoodugaru (2011) , Rajakumara (2017) are Puneet Rajkumar’s hit films. He was the most popular actor in Kannada cinema and the highest paid actor. Puneet Rajkumar also starred as a television presenter in the Kannada version of the show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ ‘Kannada Millionaire’.
