The BJP has suspended a Rajasthan MLA for voting in favor of a Congress candidate

The BJP has suspended Rajasthan MLA Sobharani Kushwaha for cross-voting in favor of Congress candidate Pramod Tiwari. Opposition leader Gulab Chand Kataria said he voted for Tiwari despite being given a whip and that he would be suspended from the BJP’s primary membership. Kataria also wrote a letter to the MLA asking him to explain why he had voted against the whip. BJP state president Satish Poonia said that the party leadership has been informed about this.
