Red Bull F1 urgent meeting with Honda F1 following big defeat in Brazil[F1-Gate .com]

Red Bull F1 was puzzled by the performance of the new Mercedes F1 engine at the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix and had an emergency meeting with a Honda F1 engineer.

Lewis Hamilton, who started from the 10th grid, defeated Max Verstappen to win the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix. Hamilton with a new engine showed the speed of lightning.

Helmut Marko, Red Bull F1’s motorsport adviser, can’t help but be surprised to see Mercedes’ top speed.

“I’ve never seen such an engine from Mercedes in recent years,” Helmut Marko told Sky Germany.

“I can’t believe it! Mercedes created a masterpiece at this stage of the championship and succeeded in building a rocket in no time.”

After seeing Mercedes’ top speed, Helmut Marko says the Honda F1 is quickly exploring what is still possible with Red Bull.

“We are confused and have already gathered Honda engineers to think together,” Helmut Marko said.

With three races remaining, Max Verstappen’s lead over Lewis Hamilton was 14 points.

Helmut Marko fears the worst because of Lewis Hamilton’s new Mercedes engine.

“If this continues, the championship will no longer be sufficient,” Helmut Marko said.
