Along with the release date announcement, a new trailer for Nine Souls was also released. In the new trailer you can see Nine Souls’ unique graphics, “TAO PUNK”-style worldview, and action-oriented gameplay that sets it apart from previous works.
Red Candle Games announced that Nine Souls was inspired by From Software’s action game “Sekiro” and will be a 2D Taoist punk-style action platformer with hand-drawn graphics. As with the previous work ‘Return’, the story focused on ethnic religions, but the gameplay style is said to be inspired by Sekiro, Hollow Knight and Katana Zero, so it will be completely different from previous works.
