Recent speculation about the untimely disbandment of K-pop group Red Velvet has been put to rest by SM Entertainment, the group’s agency. The rumors were sparked by the sudden name change on the group’s official Instagram account from ‘Red Velvet Official’ to ‘Happy Ending’.

Concerned fans pointed out the deletion of highlight video clips from Instagram stories, interpreting it as a sign of the group’s imminent disbandment. Adding to the worries, it was reported that only member Seulgi had renewed her contract with SM Entertainment.

However, SM Entertainment has clarified that the changes were made to align with the new album concept. The agency’s statement has brought relief to fans who can now look forward to the group’s upcoming 3rd full-length album ‘Chill Kill’, set to be released on the 13th of this month. The title song, ‘Chill Kill’, is described as a catchy pop dance with an irregular harmony centered on lovely and dreamy synths and bells.
