Yesterday morning, an escalator at Sunae Station, Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province, where 14 people were injured in a wrong-way accident.

At the annual safety inspection in August last year, a number of yellow warning sign blocks on the edge of the scaffolding were damaged, and the operating speed was found to be outside the prescribed value, and was deemed to ‘pass conditionally’.
However, in the monthly inspection before and after that, it was also judged to be ‘good’.
From 2017 to last year, in the annual inspection, except for one, I got a ‘conditional pass’ five times, but in the monthly self-inspection carried out by the Korail freight company during the same period, all ‘good judgments’ came out . .
