Reopening in Thailand… In addition to 17 countries, 63 countries will enter without quarantine next month.

The Thai government has added 17 countries to the list of countries that can enter without quarantine upon completion of vaccination against COVID-19 from the 1st of next month.

With this, the number of countries where visitors can enter Thailand without quarantine from November 1 after completing vaccination has increased to 63 countries, including South Korea.

According to local media such as the Bangkok Post and Nation on the 31st, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added 17 more countries, including India, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, to the countries where visitors who have completed COVID-19 vaccination and received a negative COVID-19 certificate before departure can enter without quarantine. He said the day before.

Also included is Myanmar, a neighboring country, which has been criticized for collapsing in the public health system as a large number of medical personnel participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) after the coup on February 1st.

Earlier, on the 21st, the Thai government announced that 46 countries, including Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore and Australia, were subject to ‘no quarantine’.

After arriving in Thailand, visitors from 63 countries will stay in a hotel for a day or two and undergo a PCR (gene amplification) test, and if they test negative, they can freely travel around Thailand without quarantine.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak last year, the number of tourists in Thailand plummeted from about 40 million in 2019 to 6.7 million.
