Freedom ⁢War ‍Remastered: A High-Definition Revival of the 2014 Classic

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of Freedom War‌ Remastered, a high-definition version of the 2014 PS Vita ⁢multiplayer action game. The game is set to‍ launch on ⁤PS5, PS4, PC Steam, and Nintendo ​Switch in 2025.

Originally developed by SIE Japan Studio, Freedom ‌War was a first-party game that​ has‌ undergone significant changes in its development lineup. Bandai Namco has partnered with Sony to relaunch the game in high ‍definition, making it⁤ available on PC Steam and ⁣PS4, in addition to the PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

Gameplay and ‌Features

Freedom War Remastered is ⁣set in a dystopian future where humanity is struggling to survive in ⁢a desolate world. The game’s worldview is based on a near-future ⁤scenario where the rulers have enacted the PT law, convicting most people and sentencing them to 1 million‍ years in prison.

The game will support 4K high resolution on PS5 and PC, with a frame rate of 60fps on all platforms except the Nintendo Switch, which will run at ⁢30fps. The game’s system has been greatly improved, with ‍features such as ‌difficulty selection, optimized⁤ enemy AI, and additional DLC downloads and included content from the 2014 PS Vita version.

Release Date and Exhibition

Freedom War Remastered‌ is set⁢ to launch on PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on January 9, 2025,​ and on Steam on January 10, 2025. The game will be exhibited at the Tokyo Game ⁣Show 2024, which will take place from ​September 26‌ to 29.
