Riyadhs Most Accident-Prone Neighborhoods Revealed

Riyadh Municipalitys Traffic Accident Monitoring Center has identified Al-Rawda neighborhood in eastern Riyadh as the area with the highest number of traffic accidents over the past two years (2022-2023), with 2,170 people injured on the road. According to the centers analysis, the increase in accidents in the neighborhood is largely due to driver behavior, including sudden swerving and distraction from driving.

Data from the center also revealed that areas around eastern and western Riyadh recorded high rates of accidents. Namar neighborhood in eastern Riyadh ranked second with 1,049 injured, followed by al-Rimal neighborhood in the east of the capital, with 571 injured, and Tuwaiq neighborhood in western Riyadh, with 517 injured.

In contrast, the northern area of Riyadh recorded a lower rate of accidents due to lower traffic density. Al-Arid area ranked fifth with 331 injuries, followed by Dhahrat Laban area in western Riyadh with 299 injuries.
