**Court Orders Full Admission of 11 League Leaders After AOT Files for Bankruptcy**

The Royal Gazette has recently published an announcement regarding the admission of 11 league leaders to full protection under a court order. This order was issued by the Central Bankruptcy Court, specifically the Bankruptcy Enforcement Division 3 of the Legal Action Department under the Ministry of Justice. The case, with the red case number L.5598/2566, involves Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited as the plaintiff filing a lawsuit against the eleven debtors for bankruptcy.

The court order, dated September 12, 2023, aimed to safeguard the assets of the individuals listed as debtors. These include Major General Chamlong Srimuang (Debtor No. 1), Mr. Sondhi Limthongkul (Debtor No. 2), Mr. Phiphob Thongchai (Debtor No. 3), Mr. Suriyasai Katasila (Debtor No. 4), Mr. Somsak Kosaisuk (Debtor No. 5), and Mr. Chaiwat Sinsuwong (Debtor No. 6).

The remaining debtors are Amon, Itthi, Amonthep, Ratchayut, Amornsak Amonrattananon, Sirayothinpakdee, Itthipracha (Debtor No. 7), Mr. Samran Rodphet (Debtor No. 8), Mr. Sirichai Mai-ngam (Debtor No. 9), Mrs. Maleerat or Maleerak Kaewka (Debtor No. 10), and Mr. Therdphumthai or Terdpoom Jaidee (Debtor No. 11). Their admission to full protection is in accordance with the Bankruptcy Act of 1940 AD.

Consequently, the official receiver has been granted the authority to manage the debtors’ business and assets as stipulated in Section 22 of the Bankruptcy Act BE 2483. Moreover, individuals who owe money to the debtors or possess their assets are required to report the debts or assets to the receiver within one month from the issuance of the official receiver’s order, as stated in Section 24/1 of the Bankruptcy Act BE 2483. Failure to comply with this duty may result in an offense punishable by a fine not exceeding two hundred thousand baht, as per Section 173/1 of the Bankruptcy Act BE 2483.

Additionally, creditors seeking to request payment of a debt in this case, whether they are the plaintiffs or not, must submit an application to the official receiver at the pleadings department. The submission should be made at the Office of the Secretary of the Department, the Department of Legal Action, or the Office of Legal Action available where the debtor resides. This application must be submitted within two months from the date of advertisement of this court order. The Royal Gazette has announced the order on October 17, 2023.
