Russian Man Arrested in Connection with Fatal Stabbing of Ukrainian Soldiers in Germany

(CNN) A man believed to be Russian has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of two Ukrainian soldiers in a shopping center in Murnau, Bavaria, southern Germany, on the 27th.

According to the German police, it was announced that one of the two victims who were stabbed, a 36-year-old man, died on the spot, while a 23-year-old man died on the way to hospital.

Both men are Ukrainian citizens who live in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, and were in Germany for rehabilitation treatment.

A 57-year-old man believed to be Russian was arrested at his home not far from the incident.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also announced that a Ukrainian man born in 1987 and a Ukrainian man born in 2001 were stabbed to death in a shopping center in Murnau, Germany. The two men were said to be soldiers undergoing rehabilitation treatment in Germany.
