Revamping a Dated Studio Apartment
A 30 m² studio in Boulogne-billancourt, initially purchased as a rental investment, was in dire need of renovation.the apartment featured outdated carpeting, deteriorating ceilings, and a complex network of pipes due to the collective heating system, which complicated the layout. The potential was certainly hidden!
To restore value and style, a team of designers successfully tackled this challenge. In just three and a half months, the space was completely redesigned. The old kitchen was removed to make way for a cozy bedroom, separate from the living area. The new kitchen was integrated into the living space, now optimized with an elegant 1950s-inspired design. Even the entrance closet, previously without a clear function, found its purpose. The result: a transformed, modernized, and functional studio, ready to attract future tenants, all for 56,000 euros.
Bathroom Renovation: Maximizing Space and Comfort
The original bathroom had a retro look and was disproportionately large compared to the rest of the studio. to revitalize it,the renovation team started from scratch. Through a clever redistribution of the available space, the bathroom was reduced in size, benefiting other areas such as the bedroom and kitchen.
Now optimized, the bathroom integrates seamlessly into the redesigned layout of the apartment, enhancing comfort. The bulky bathtub was replaced with a spacious and modern shower, featuring a Saga shower base, a Hansgrohe thermostatic column, and a Remix sliding door, all sourced from Leroy Merlin. For storage,an Enhet vanity unit with drawers from IKEA was installed, along with a Bloom oval mirror from Leroy Merlin, adding a timeless touch.
Achieving a Subtle and Elegant Ambiance
The ambiance plays with subtle contrasts. ”The white Bakerstreet tiles cover the walls while an elegant mizzle green-gray from Farrow & Ball brings softness.” On the floor, the greige Salted tiles, also from Leroy Merlin, provide a neutral and refined base. A towel warmer was installed, and the original toilet was preserved and seamlessly integrated into the redesigned bathroom.
This renovation demonstrates that ”with great ideas and a bit of budget, anything is possible!”
