Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina will face Belarus’ Arina Sabalenka in the women’s Australian Open tennis final. Rybakina beat former world number one Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in straight sets in the first semi-final at the Rodlaver Arena. This is Wimbledon winner Rybakina’s second Grand Slam final. Score 7–6, 6–3.

In the second semi-final, Arina Zabalenka of Belarus easily defeated Magda Linnet of Poland. Lynette, who had a strong game in the first set, reached the tiebreaker, but Sabalenka won the set 7-6. The Belarus star dominated the second set. Sabalenka won the second set 6-2 to qualify for the first Grand Slam final of her career. The final is on Saturday.
