Toronto pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu has returned from injury, but the slump has put fall baseball at stake. Kwang-Hyun Kim’s team, St. Louis, advanced to the postseason.

Ryu Hyun-jin, who came on the mound 11 days after waking up from neck pain, did his best to hit the New York Yankees batting line, which is in a fierce wild card competition.

In the crisis of second and third base in the first inning, he struck out Stanton, who hit 10 home runs this month, to prevent a run and hit a solo home run by Aaron Judge in the third inning, leading 1-0, but he played a fastball 2km/h faster than the season average. He managed to survive with one run up to the 4th inning.

However, he couldn’t get past the 5th inning he was hit in a 2-1 lead.

In a one-out 1-2 base crisis, he allowed a hit to the left, where the second base runner forced a home run, but the left fielder’s throw hit the runner and bounced, allowing a tie.

Ryu Hyun-jin was replaced with a look full of regret, and the bullpen allowed additional runs and suffered the 10th loss of the season, the most since entering the United States.

Toronto fell to fourth place in the American League wildcard competition, half a game behind Seattle.

Kwang-Hyun Kim’s St. Louis has a 17-game winning streak and has confirmed the fall baseball for the third year in a row as a National League wild card.
