Abu Dhabi: UAE Ministry of Manpower and Indigenization with new system to ensure safe accommodation for workers. Officials say they will ensure that workers and employers comply with health and safety standards. Workers’ accommodation centers are required to register on the ministry’s website. The ministry will also help workers find new accommodation.

The authorities have decided to conduct a lightning inspection and assess the facilities. The condition is that a worker should have at least 3 square meters of living space. It is recommended that you provide your own bed and accessories and that the refrigerated room be well ventilated and well lit. Special arrangements should be made for washing, cooking and eating. There should be fire and defense systems. Drinking water needs a filtered cooler. LPG cylinders should be stored in a separate place. There should be medical service and prayer rooms. The authorities also suggested that the facility should be set up as a toilet for 8 people. Warning that action will be taken against those who do not comply with the conditions.
