Seasonal flu: Masks again in Saudi

The Ministry of Health has issued a directive to wear masks in Saudi Arabia. The directive was issued as part of preventing the spread of seasonal flu. The ministry also asked the people of the country to be vaccinated against infectious diseases. The Saudi Ministry of Health has advised people to wear masks in public places and where people gather.

The ministry also asked for vaccination to prevent infectious diseases. All government hospitals and clinics in the country have this facility. Apart from this, as part of preventive measures, the Ministry also issued instructions such as maintaining cleanliness in living and working places, washing hands frequently, using a tissue when sneezing, and avoiding direct contact with the eyes and mouth. Symptoms of viral flu include fever with chills, body temperature above 38 degrees, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, persistent cough, runny nose. The ministry also asked those with such symptoms to seek immediate treatment.
