Senior singer Anda-seong (real name Ahn Young-gil, photo), who sang “Blue and Red Room” and “At the Beach,” died on the 11th. Age of death 92 years old.
The deceased was selected as an exclusive singer for Seoul Central Broadcasting Station (currently KBS) while studying English at Kyunghee University. In 1956, he sang the theme song of the same name for the drama ‘Blue and Red Room’ with female singer Song Min-do and made it popular. The theme song of the same name for the 1958 drama ‘Dreams Disappear’ and ‘On the Beach’ also gained great popularity. Survivors include his wife Kang Jeong-nam, his son Tae-sang, a professor at Myongji University, and Hong Sang (personal business). Binso is at Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital in Seoul, and the funeral is at 4:30 am on the 13th, 02-2633-1444
