Sentilan Prabowo: Trick Payment Controversy Explained
Problems in State -Owned Enterprises (BUMN) highlighted by the president Prabowo Subianto. One of them is the matter of tantiem for directors and commissioners of BUMN.
According to Prabowo Tantiem it was only a trick. This was conveyed by Prabowo during the Draft Speech of the 2026 APBN Law and Financial Note in the Parliament Building, Friday (8/15).

Initially, Prabowo said that he had assigned the Investment Management Agency and between Indonesia to clean up BUMN-BUMN. He requested that the commissioner of the state-owned company not need much.
“At first the management was unreasonable, the company was loss, the commissioner was very much,” Prabowo said.
Tantiem is part of the company’s profits given to members of the Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners, and/or employees as a form of appreciation for their performance, especially if the company makes a profit. Tantiem’s provision is usually based on a certain percentage of the company’s net profit and decided through the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS).
Prabowo said he had cut the number of commissioners. He also eliminated tantiem for the directors and commissioners of the company.
“I cut half, the commissioners at most 6 people. If possible, enough 4 or 5, and I remove Tantiem,” said Prabowo who was greeted with applause.
Tantiem is a trick
Prabowo rate, Tantiem is just a trick. The selection of the word tantiem which he considered foreign was also considered as a guise so that people do not understand what tantiem is.
“I also do not understand what the meaning of Tantiem is. That is their tricks. He chose a foreign term so that we do not understand what Tantiem is,” he said, who made the courtroom boisterous.
Prabowo then highlighted the work of the commissioners who got tantiem tens of billions but his work only came a meeting once a month.
“Brothers and sisters, when there was a commissioner who was meeting once a month, the tantiem was Rp 40 billion a year,” he said, who made the atmosphere again boisterous.
For this reason, Prabowo asks and does not need to give Tantiem if the company is in a loss condition. Prabowo also asked the Directors and Commissioners who objected not to accept Tantiem to stop.
“I have also ordered it to and between, even the directors do not need to be tantim if you lose and fortunately have to be profitable, don’t make a trick,” he said.
“We have been an Indonesian for a long time. And if the directors, if the commissioner objected, immediately stopped, brothers and sisters. Brothers and sisters, the elections are still long. This is like a meeting in the district. But this is serious, not just entering,” he added.
