Sergio Perez angry at Verstappen who refused team order “His true nature came out” / GP F1 Sao Paulo[F1-Gate.com]

Sergio Perez has shouted out Red Bull Racing teammate Max Verstappen for refusing to give him back his position at the end of the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix.

Sergio Perez was sixth with a few laps to go, but Max Verstappen, on newer tyres, passed his teammate to attack Fernando Alonso for fifth. However, Verstappen was unable to catch Alonso and was told to hand the position back to Perez as previously agreed.

‘Max, if you don’t overtake Fernando at the exit of Turn 12, let me go through the Czech Republic. Let’s give it back to the Czech Republic,’ was a radio message from Max Verstappen’s engineer, Giampiero Lambiase.

‘What’s wrong, Max? Let me go through the Czech Republic. Max, let me go to the Czech Republic,” repeated Giampiero Lambiase.

But Max Verstappen said, ‘As I said last time, don’t ask me to do that again. are we clear about that? I gave my reasons and I stand by them,” he said angrily.

Sergio Perez became angry with his teammate, forcing team principal Christian Horner to intervene on the team radio.

“Thank you, everyone. Thank you,” said Sergio Perez.

Christian Horner said, ‘Sorry, Czech. I will report everything later.”

“OK. His true nature has come out,” Sergio Pérez replied scathingly.

“I don’t know what to say, Czech,” added Sergio Perez’s race engineer, Hugh Byrd.

Sergio Perez is fighting for second place in the drivers’ standings, but as a result of Max Verstappen not giving up the position he fell back to third behind Charles Leclerc.
