An audio recording, attributed to blogger Salma Al-Ghazouli, caused a stir on social media, as she admitted to defrauding her victims, who numbered about 2,000 women and girls who wanted to trade clothes, saying: “I have the money.”
The recording was leaked by a number of victim girls, who accused Salma Al-Ghazouli of defrauding them of sums of money ranging between 900 million pounds and 1 billion pounds, on the pretext of employing her in the trade of “SheIn International” clothing and other cosmetics.
In the recording attributed to Al-Ghazouli, the voice of a girl crying profusely while answering questions from girls in the groups, trying to calm them down, said: “I have the money…no one is afraid,” which the victims considered to be evidence of the veracity of the accusations attributed to the blogger, which became famous.

Dozens of complaints were filed by girls and women from Cairo and Menoufia, in front of the Ashmoun Police Station, where the blogger Salma El-Ghazouli was born, as they confirmed that the latter had deceived them and promised them the possibility of receiving monthly profits, but she did not fulfill what she told them.
The victims explained that Al-Ghazouli tricked them into buying goods from international brands, including Shein. The victims’ tragedies and the sums they paid were numerous. One of them said in a post on her page on the social networking site Facebook: “Unfortunately, we were attacked. More than 1,000 girls were targeted.” With more than 200 million pounds, the issue must turn around and engulf all of Egypt.”

A profit every month on the 20 thousand dollars, and you take your profit every month and you can withdraw your money at any time you like and nothing else is required of you. If you have from 20 thousand pounds to a million pounds and you want to occupy them and do not know… you can contact me and I will tell you the details. I hope the person inside just inquires. My curiosity does not speak to me.”

The arrest of Salma Al-Ghazouli
For its part, the security services arrested the blogger Salma Al-Ghazouli, her brother Muhammad, and three other relatives in an ambush in Cairo after numerous reports were filed against them. Salma Al-Ghazouli and her brother were deported to Menoufia Governorate, and the Public Prosecution ordered their detention pending investigations, according to Noha Al-Gendy, the lawyer of a number of Victims.
