The company said in a statement that the challenging situation in China was not conducive to its operations and, therefore, ceased operations on Monday.

The company is committed to providing uninterrupted services to customers. However, Yahoo said that the government was taking steps to prevent it. The company also thanked its customers in China for their support so far.
