SmallRig Japan Co., Ltd. has launched the USB-powered RC 100B COB LED Video Light Kit, a versatile lighting solution for photography and videography applications.
The RC 100B COB LED Video Light Kit can be powered from a DC adapter, V-mount battery, or a USB Type-C cable. Additionally, it can be powered from two NP-F970 batteries using a mounting plate, offering flexibility and convenience.
The light kit boasts an impressive brightness of 4,610 lux (1m/5,600K) in its normal mode. However, when the 45° mini reflector is attached, the brightness increases significantly to 20,100 lux (1m/5,600K).
Users can adjust the lighting settings using the buttons on the main unit or control the light remotely using the “SmallGoGo” app or DMX equipment, providing a range of options for customization and control.
The RC 100B COB LED Video Light Kit features a high CRI Ra of 97+ and TLCI of 98+, ensuring accurate color representation. The color temperature can be adjusted from 2,700 to 6,500K, allowing users to adapt to different shooting environments.
The light kit’s compact design and lightweight construction make it easy to transport and set up. The external dimensions are 115 x 95 x 95 mm, and the weight is 700 g ± 20 g.
SmallRig Japan Co., Ltd. will soon release the “Power Handle,” a companion accessory that supports a maximum USB Type-C PD output of 100W and a maximum D-Tap output of 10A. This will enable users to power the RC 100B COB LED Video Light Kit for approximately 45 minutes at full power.
The RC 100B COB LED Video Light Kit will be available in two versions: the standard version and the mobile version. The standard version includes the main unit, a mini reflector, a light stand adapter, a silicone diffuser, and a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable (3m), priced at 40,290 yen.
The mobile version, priced at 35,090 yen, includes the camera body, a mini reflector, a grip handle, and an NP-F970 battery plate, making it an ideal choice for mobile videography applications.
