Shot in front of Machida station? Man in his 50s died: Tokyo Shimbun TOKYO Web

Around 7:35pm on the 26th, there was a 110 call in front of JR Machida Station in Haramachida, Machida City, Tokyo, saying, “A person has been shot.” When the police rushed to the scene, the man was bleeding from his abdomen and was confirmed dead at the hospital he was taken to. Two men fled the scene in a white passenger car, and the London Police Department is chasing their whereabouts.

According to the Organized Crime Countermeasures Division of the Metropolitan Police Department, the deceased was a man in his 50s who is believed to be linked to an organized crime group. He was shot with a handgun by a man in a coffee shop entering a nearby building, and after fleeing outside the shop, he was shot again. He had gunshot wounds to his neck, abdomen and right arm. One of the men was said to be in his 50s and wearing a gray jacket and black pants.

A 27-year-old man who worked at a hospital who was in a cafe near the scene of the incident told the newspaper, “I was surprised when a number of police cars suddenly came together. I’m going home soon.”

A woman in her 40s who works in a nearby pub said, “I heard a dry sound of ‘pan’. A person from the scene was talking excitedly, ‘It looks like someone has been shot with a pistol.’ I was surprised.
