Tsikhanouskaya expressed her gratitude ⁤to U.S. President Donald Trump,U.S. envoy⁤ Keith Kellogg, and European allies ⁣for ⁣their support. She also emphasized that more⁤ than 1,150 ⁢political prisoners remain jailed⁢ in Belarus and called for their ⁢release.

Tsikhanouski, 46, was originally arrested⁢ weeks before ‍the 2020 presidential election, where he planned to challenge President Alexander Lukashenko. Known for his charismatic activism⁣ and slogan “Stop the cockroach,” Tsikhanouski’s ⁢campaign ⁣saw supporters waving slippers,a symbol for eliminating Lukashenko,whom he likened to a ⁣cockroach.
