PARIS (AP) — Skyrock’s “Radio Libre,” hosted by Difool, experienced a dramatic disruption during its live broadcast on Friday, April 25, when an equipment malfunction caused an explosion in the studio.
Technical Difficulties Silence Microphones
The incident occurred at approximately 9:49 p.m.during a listener’s call.A loud explosion, reportedly stemming from a power supply issue, interrupted the broadcast, cutting off the microphones and creating a chaotic scene.
Improvisation and On-Air Recovery
Difool, caught off guard, addressed the situation with humor and improvisation. “Hello, I am Difool,” he said, according to recordings of the broadcast. “You are still live on Skyrock, ther is something that exploded in the studio.”
He explained to listeners that a faulty power supply had caused the disruption. “To not hide anything before the show, we had a problem with a diet that burnt down. We changed for a new one, but the news burned too.So there we have no more food,” Difool said on air.
The incident quickly gained traction on social media.
