This sales volume positioned Slay the Spire 2 as the best-selling game on Steam for March 2026. It outperformed Crimson Desert by Pearl Abyss, which sold 1.9 million copies on the platform during the same period, despite a higher asking price.

The title’s popularity is further reflected in its player metrics, having peaked at 282,323 concurrent players on Steam.

Development and April 2026 Updates

Mega Crit has maintained the game’s momentum through a steady stream of patches and fixes. In April 2026, the studio released beta patch v0.102.0 to further refine the experience.

The headline addition in the v0.102.0 update is a brand-new in-game system called Badges. The patch also includes various balance adjustments, changes, and hot fixes.
