Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that some media outlets have tried to portray the Taliban as heroic and that it is extremely unfortunate. He said there had never been a time when religious and communal terrorist organizations were crushing humanity.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the Jayanti Mahasammelan at Chempazhanthi Sree Narayana Gurukulam, the birthplace of Sree Narayana Guru, on the occasion of Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti.

“Everyone knows how the Taliban grew up and who raised them. “It is unfortunate that the media is trying to glorify the Taliban for their heroism,” he said.

The Guru’s lesson is to reach the places where people turn around and try to cultivate competition. The survival of humanity is through the path shown by the Guru. Pinarayi Vijayan added that the Guru’s message can be seen in many steps of the government.

We need to think about whether the Guru’s approach to humanity, which transcends caste, can be maintained. The Guru did not say that only one particular caste or one particular religion was enough. The Guru puts forward a message against those who seek to cultivate rivalry. The Chief Minister said that the survival of humanity is through the path shown by the Guru.
