Son Heung-min Closes in on Tottenham’s All-Time Assist Record

Son Heung-min is within four points of scoring the most assists in his career at Tottenham Hotspur in the English Professional Football Premier League (EPL).

Son Heung-min recorded two assists against Brentford in the 2024-2025 EPL 5th round home game held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in England, contributing to a 3-1 win.

Son Heung-min, who assisted on Brennan Johnson’s comeback goal in the 28th minute of the first half when the score was 1-1, completed the two assists by assisting on James Maddison’s original goal in the 40th minute of the second half.

Son Heung-min, who has recorded multiple assists, has collected a total of 64 assists on the EPL stage since joining Tottenham.

According to the EPL’s official ‘Stats Centre’, striker Darren Anderton, who played for Tottenham from 1992 to 2004, holds the record for ‘most assists for Tottenham in EPL history’ with 68 assists.

Son Heung-min then finished second on Tottenham’s all-time EPL assists list with 64 assists, four close to Anderton’s record.

The third most assists in EPL history for Tottenham is Christian Eriksen (Manchester United), who recorded 62 assists while playing for Tottenham from 2012 to 2020.

Eriksen left Tottenham and added 14 assists at Brantford (4) and Manchester United (10) and is 11th in EPL all-time assists with a total of 76 assists.

Son Heung-min’s assist record ranks 18th in the EPL’s all-time assists ranking.

Retired Ryan Giggs remains firmly in first place with 162 assists, with Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City, 113 assists) second.

Son Heung-min is tied for 18th with Gareth Barry and Alan Shearer (retired). If he adds just one assist, he could climb to 18th.
