South Korea’s Olympic football team failed to advance to the finals of the Olympic Games.

As seen from Indonesia’s first goal of Straweek and the second goal which was given up due to a fatal judgment error by our defense, Korea was behind Indonesia in individual skills and organizational skills.

Hwang Seon-hong, who lost the initiative, collapsed due to unnecessary actions.

Substitute forward Lee Young-jun was sent off 25 minutes into the second half for stepping on an opponent, and outnumbered coach Hwang Seon-hong received , a red card for protesting against an opponent’s foul.

Although Jeong Sang-bin’s dramatic tying goal led to overtime, the team was defensive throughout the captainless overtime, and after a fierce battle that even reached the 12th kicker, they succumbed to the Magic of Shin Tae-yong.

Coach Shin Tae-yong, who congratulated our players after the game, won a complete victory in a battle of wits with coach Hwang Seon-hong.

Around 9,000 Indonesian spectators chanted the name of coach Shin Tae-yong, who gave the team the gift of advancing to the semi-finals for the first time in history.

Even Indonesia, where there was a huge street cheer, fell into the Shin Tae-yong syndrome, calling for Shin Tae-yong to become president.

The new history belonged to Indonesia, not us.

Our national team, aiming for the finals of the Olympic Games for the 10th time in a row, gave up their dream without even being able to cross the threshold of the Asian quarterfinals.
