The Federal Aviation Management (FAA) confirmed it ⁤initiated the ground​ stop at Southwest’s request,⁣ citing “equipment issues.” The ground⁢ stop was soon lifted, ⁤and Southwest announced via social media that operations had resumed.

According to spokesman Dan Landson, a vendor-supplied firewall malfunctioned, causing⁣ an⁤ unexpected loss of connection to some operational data. The airline’s⁤ workers,‌ he added, ⁢”worked quickly to minimize ‌disruptions.”
