[이데일리 스타in 김보영 기자] Indian actor Anupam Tripati, who appeared in Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’ (Director Hwang Dong-hyuk), congratulated him on ‘Squid Game’ nominations in four SAG nominations and Oh Young-soo’s Golden Globe Award.
Anupam posted a post on his Instagram on the 13th with a picture of ‘Squid Game’ being nominated for the TV Drama Ensemble Award at the SAG Awards. Anupam rejoiced together, saying “We made history together” in English. ‘Squid Game’ was also nominated for Best Actor (Lee Jung-jae), Best Actress (Jung Ho-yeon), and Ensemble Award in the TV Drama Stunts category at SAG.
He also posted a congratulatory message to Oh Young-soo, who recently won the Best Supporting Actor award for the first time as a Korean actor in ‘Squid Game’. Anupam said, “I sincerely congratulate you, dear teacher Oh Young-soo,” along with a photo taken with Oh Young-soo. Regarding Oh Young-soo, he said, “He is the one who inspired me. I also admire teachers who are constantly honing their skills to become a better person in their field.”
“Thank you for being a guide for all of us,” he added.
Anupam worked with Oh Young-soo as Ali, a foreign worker, in ‘Squid Game’, which recently swept the world’s number one streaming service. Oh Young-soo takes on the role of Il-nam, the first participant in the play.
