In this category, 10 actors including Lee Jung-jae were nominated. The awards went to Tussauds Mdebu for ‘The Underground Railroad’ and Ethan Hawke for ‘The Good Road Bird’.

Meanwhile, the ‘Gossum Awards’, sponsored by the Independent Filmer Project (IFP), an American independent film support group, is an awards ceremony for independent films, held in New York every year and celebrated its 31st anniversary this year.

The Netflix drama ‘Squid Game’ is a work depicting the story of those who participated in a survival game with a prize of 45.6 billion won, risking their lives to become the ultimate winner. It was so popular that it was watched by more than 142 million households worldwide.

As it is a series that has gained worldwide popularity, it is expected that the work and the cast members will be nominated one after another for the US Broadcasting Awards, including the Emmy Award, the most prestigious awards ceremony for American broadcasters.
