On a golf course in Thailand, Kim Seong-tae and Yang Seon-gil, former and current presidents of the Ssangbangwool Group, were caught by the local immigration team.

Former Chairman Kim, who was under investigation for embezzlement under the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Certain Economic Crimes, left Singapore at the end of May last year before the prosecution’s seizure and search, then moved to Thailand and was on the run . for almost eight months.

Chairman Yang also fled the country around the same time.

The prosecution has focused on securing new recruits, such as interpol red notices and invalidating passports for these former and current presidents, while freezing stocks worth tens of billions of hard earned money owned by former -chairman Kim under borrowed names from arbitrary disposal.

Former Chairman Kim has to go through the process of being deported from Thailand due to the invalidation of his passport, but if he files a lawsuit denying his return to the country, it is expected to take some time to enter the country.

Previously arrested in Thailand in early December last year, Mr Kim, known as former chairman Kim’s ‘security guard’, also filed a lawsuit to refuse extradition to the Thai court immediately on after the arrest, and the legal case is currently underway. .
