Stalker who climbed a wall and attacked his girlfriend… Court overrules arrest warrant

◀ anchor ▶

I told you yesterday that a man in his 20s was caught by the police after receiving a stalking warning from the police, but he entered his girlfriend’s house through a pipe and attacked him.

However, this time, the court refused the arrest warrant for this man, saying, “There is no fear of escaping or destroying evidence.”

◀ Report ▶

Yesterday around 0 am.

A man climbs a pipe in a sparsely populated residential area.

After a while, a police car arrived and the police grabbed the man and brought him down.

It was confirmed that the man, who turned out to be in his 20s, climbed the pipe to the second floor and entered his girlfriend’s house without permission, then took her mobile phone and attacked him twice.

My boyfriend called 911 before the phone was stolen, and when I heard nothing but screams, the police rushed to the scene.

“After the man shouted at him, only the woman could squeal. As I looked out, the two cars were police cars…”

About an hour before the arrest, when my girlfriend asked me to break up on the street in Jinju, Gyeongnam, I got a stalking alert from the police who went to fight with this man, but I went back to my house and carried out’ the crime.

Immediately, the police applied for an arrest warrant for breach of the Penalty Act for Stalking, Trespassing and Assault.

However, the Changwon Jinju Jiwon District Court rejected the arrest warrant today.

Another reason for dismissal was ‘there is no fear of escaping or destroying evidence’.

The Sindang Station stalking murder case revealed that the subsequent crime of the stalking perpetrator could be fatal, and although this man has a history of violence in the past, the court acquitted him as it is.

“It is a case that can now be evaluated as the ‘level of concern for harm is very high’ for the victim. (Dismissal of the warrant) I think it is no different than giving a message to the perpetrators that stalks, ‘Even if you do this, you won’t be caught.’ I hear it.”

The police said they will strengthen patrols so that the victim can live in a safe place and follow the life cycle of the man who was released.
