The cute language learning game “Shashingo” has released the Steam store page. In this game, players can explore the bright Japanese streets, take pictures of what they see with the camera, and learn their Japanese.

The name “Shashingo” comes from the Japanese “shashin photo/photography” and “go/language”, which together convey the meaning of “photo language”.

Players can explore a fictional Japanese street, from roadside plants to various shops, pick up the camera and take photos, each photo will be translated into Japanese and English, allowing players to deepen the memory of words through images.

The word cards after taking pictures will be stored in the album, and players can view them at any time. They can also add simple annotations to the word cards, so that they can review unfamiliar words at any time.

In addition, some common phrases are also included in the album. Players who already have the basics of Hiragana and Kakana can try to practice.

“Shashingo” is expected to be on Steam, Switch and other platforms, only supports English and Japanese subtitles, and the release date is undetermined. Interested players can join the interest list first.
